John K. Reinker, Strategic Advisor to ECG

John K. Reinker is a Strategic Advisor to ECG. He has extensive operating, product and project management experience for projects ranging from $10M to $1B. He is particularly skilled at the intersection of technology and markets, developing and commercializing advanced engineering technologies and leading projects that deploy these products and technologies worldwide.

John spent more than 30 years at General Electric Company, where he held senior operating executive leadership positions and managed operations and projects in more than 60 countries. Most recently, John was president of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), an $800 million rail signaling and train optimization technology business within GE Transportation serving global rail customers in the freight, mining and passenger rail markets. He also held senior management positions at GE Energy, where he was responsible for leading installation of projects for power plants, wind farms, energy management systems, and oil and gas equipment.

John also served as product general manager for the gas turbine and combined cycle business and was general manager of technology, responsible for leading large new-product development programs and product launches for new turbines (e.g. B, E, F, H-class) and parts and services uprates to existing power plants. In addition, he worked at GE Global Research Advanced Energy Technologies, focusing on development of clean energy technologies, including fuel cells, solar, wind, energy storage and hydrogen.
