Paul J. Friesen, Principal

Paul Friesen, Principal of ECG, brings his extensive C-level experience in the power, oil & gas and industrial businesses to ECG to help clients accelerate the growth of their businesses. He helps the firm’s clients develop business growth strategies, identify and screen acquisitions, improve sales, marketing and operational effectiveness, improve competitive differentiation and identify/implement new business growth opportunities.

Prior to joining ECG, Paul spent more than 25 years at General Electric Company, where he held senior operating executive and management positions at GE Power Systems and GE Capital. Paul served as President & CEO of GE Capital’s Global Compression Services (now Exterran), which was engaged in compressor equipment leasing, fabrication, sales and service to the oil & gas industry. At GE Power Systems (now GE Power), Paul was General Manager of GE’s steam turbine products business, responsible for the P&L, utility and industrial sales & marketing, product development and manufacturing. Prior to joining GE, Paul was manager of business development and product planning for Mechanical Technology Inc., an energy technology commercialization company.
